How to install sensor when there is a hard limit of 100 endpoints?
How to have endpoints register successfully after upgrade of Trial/Eval/POC?
VMware Carbon Black Cloud Trial/Eval/POC
During the Trial/Eval/POC period there is a hard licensing limit of 100 Sensors.
You will have to uninstall and reinstall the sensor for it to successfully register to the backend once the Trial/Eval/POC is increased to full version. A sensor version update will not suffice.
A sensor installation is only successfully completed when it registers with the backend. When it does not register with the backend, some sensor related processes and services will not run properly.
Also, the sensor can only receive updates on policy rules and other settings from the CBC console only when it has successfully registered.
Once the limit is increased, the sensor will not automatically register itself to the backend. An uninstall and reinstall on the sensor will be needed for it to successfully register to the backend. A sensor version update will not suffice.
