VMware Carbon Black EDR (CBR) 7.2.1 install error missing MSICode.vbs – Red Canary help

Issue

You will receive an error when installing 7.2.1 using Group Policy Objects.

The error will state:

"Source file not found: %install_Location%\CarbonBlackGPOInstaller-7.2.1.17664-\%Group_Name%\MSICode.vbs. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. "

Environment

VMware Carbon Black EDR (CBR) 7.2.1

Download missing vbs files here
Copy the three vbs files into the MSI zip file or the directory to which it has been extracted
Use msiexec to install like the GPO_README says

msiexec.exe /qn /i cbsetup.msi /L*V msi.log

Cause

7.2.1.17664 MSI installer package is missing the following files

removesrcfiles.vbs
MSICode.vbs
removeuninst.vbs
