Once you have been invited to the Red Canary Portal, you can set up your account by following the instructions below.

1. Accept the invitation and open it in a supported browser, specifically Google Chrome if possible. 

2. Next, you'll fill out your first and last name, mobile phone number and a strong password.

NOTE: Failure to fill out a name or the use of special characters can result in SAML errors when pivoting to your EDR solution.

3. Now, choose how you would like to be notified about detections from the Red Canary Portal.

4. Finally, set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account. It is a best practice to use an authentication app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Duo, as mobile apps are more secure than MFA via SMS. 

NOTE: If you want to use SMS MFA, you will have to click the button at the bottom that says Send and SMS code to +*(***)-***-1234.

If you're having trouble viewing any part of the Red Canary Portal, make sure you have some roles assigned to your account. Please contact support@redcanary.com if you run into any other issues.
