The Cb Response sensor is compatible with all common antivirus software. However, on-demand scanning exclusions should be configured for the following paths, based on your platform. Failure to do so can result in issues with data collection and transmission, as well as causing serious performance issues on your endpoints.

Windows

%WINDIR%\CarbonBlack\*
%WINDIR%\CarbonBlack\cb.exe

macOS

/var/lib/cb/*
/Applications/CarbonBlack/CbOsxSensorService
/System/Library/Extensions/CbOsxSensorNetmon.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/CbOsxSensorProcmon.kext

Linux (using sensor 6.2.0 and lower)

/var/lib/cb/*
/etc/init.d/cbdaemon
/etc/rc*/*cbdaemon
/usr/sbin/cbdaemon
/etc/sysconfig/modules/cbresponse.modules

Linux (using sensor 6.2.1 and higher)

/etc/init.d/cbdaemon
/etc/sysconfig/modules/cbresponse.modules
/usr/sbin/cbdaemon
/opt/carbonblack/response/*
/var/opt/carbonblack/response/*
